5-7-20 Activities

Math
Unit 6 Lesson 5: Page 322

Today’s math lesson is the second part from yesterday’s lesson on Adding Hundreds, Tens, and Ones. You will need your math workbook (including the back of the page from yesterday), a pencil, an eraser, and your Secret Code Cards if you have them. You will also do a “Quick Quiz” today.

  1. Watch today’s lesson with your workbook in hand: Math 6.5 part 2
  2. Complete pages 323-324 on your own. Try your best to do these pages without the help of an adult. Afterwards, have an adult look it over, but do not change your answers. It’s okay to make mistakes and I want to see where you might need additional help.

Reading
Character Traits with Evidence
This week you've been paying attention to how characters respond to problems in the book series that you are reading. What characters do when they have a problem tells us a lot about that character. Today, you will use the attached template to share your thoughts about the characters. 1. Think about the main characters or "stars" of your book. Use all that you've learned about that character and pick a word that describes him or her. That is called a "character trait". 2. Use evidence from the text to support that character trait. 3. Add that information to the attached form and submit it. For example... I know Frog is lazy because in the text his house is really messy but he keeps saying that he'll clean it tomorrow.
