Updates

In writing, the 2nd graders have been learning about and writing informative pieces. They have thought about topics that they are experts on and taken the time to plan out their ideas and organize everything they know about their topics before writing about them. They are doing a great job!

For Social Studies, we have been studying maps and globes. Recently, we have started a fun activity with maps! The 2nd graders are working in partnerships or groups of three to design a map of the North Pole for their BeeBots to travel. They are doing a great job with this project and are looking forward to using the BeeBots on Monday. Here were their directions:

Yesterday, the kiddos earned their first December Santa Reward! They got to wear their pajamas to school and Mr. Pagel came in to read "The Polar Express" to them. They really enjoyed it and even earned another point towards their next Santa Reward from Mr. Pagel!

We have a very busy week ahead of us before break! I'm looking forward to all of the activities and fun that we have planned. If you haven't had a chance to read the letter about next week yet, please take a peek at the blog post from earlier this week:

Have a great weekend!
