Today, the 2nd graders had their first handwriting lesson. Mrs. Sprout came in to help us out with this. The kiddos learned about the correct formation of the letter A. We practiced making the A starting at the top and going down. I did notice that as the 2nd graders wrote their names on their handwriting journals, a few still wrote their names entirely in capital letters. We will continue working on writing our names with a capital first letter and the rest lowercase. I am looking forward to watching the 2nd graders grow with their penmanship this school year!
